Its the year of the cornonavirus. There was much debate between me and Nathan about whether we should go or not. In the end we decided to go.
It was a small crew, just Andrew, Kerry, Nathan and me. Paul had to leave for a business trip in California. Having four makes the lift lines easier. All being of similar skills makes the riding fast and fun too.
The weather was great both days.
- Vail – We had wet snow most of the day and that made visibility hard but the snow was good. The lines were short with very few people there. 16 runs, 24.4 miles. 22,000 vertical feet. Top speed 36mph
- Breckenridge – It was a beautiful day. The overnight snow of 3″ made for light power on the runs. 14 runs, 18.3 miles, 17,000 vertical feet. Top speed 41.3 mph.
Due to the coronavirus, the resorts all closed the day we planned to go home. Good timing.
